Common Classroom Apps
Alpine School District uses many technology applications and tools that support and deepen learning.
At Alpine School District, we take student safety very seriously and do all that we can to ensure student data is safeguarded and protected. Before any new digital tool is implemented, it goes through a thorough vetting process to ensure that it is safe for students to use. After the application has been scrutinized, district personnel work with the company to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to be certain students are safe to use the tool.
In addition to District Supported Solutions, sometimes schools use specific tools that help them meet the needs of their students. In those cases the school follows a safety process similar to the district and can give you information regarding those applications.
We know that in classrooms throughout the district, no two students are alike. We each learn differently and connect to content in unique ways. The diverse tools we use in the Alpine School District allow students to be taught in multiple ways and from multiple perspectives. Students have ample opportunity to connect in ways that they learn best, increasing retention and bolstering achievement.
As with everything we do in the Alpine School District, student achievement is at the center. We choose and use tools that help students engage with learning in a way that allows them to learn deeply. Students learn collaboration, communication, creativity, critical thinking, citizenship, and character. They become producers of information and not merely consumers. We want students to succeed in the classroom today and be ready to thrive with whatever life throws at them tomorrow.
