About Camp

Clear Creek Summer Camp is Alpine School District’s outdoor education camp, directed and staffed by Alpine School District teachers and administrators. It is a camp dedicated to helping students learn about and appreciate our forests, water, soil and wildlife. Clear Creek Camp has been in serving alpine school district students for 52 years and is located just outside of Scofield, UT.

In order to allow more students to experience camp and to keep students safe and happy, we are currently operating on a two day, no overnight, model. This model includes all of the premier activities enjoyed by previous campers- Ropes courses, stream study, tree and flower hikes, field book sketching, fossil studies, erosion tables, a hot-dog roast, and of course those nutty songs, games and critter trapping that help make Clear Creek Summer Camp a life-long memory!

Your child’s camp will be broken up into two separate days

  • Day one will be held at Valley View Elementary in Pleasant Grove. Students will get their camp shirt, meet fellow campers, play games, work leather, spend time at the nature preserve park nearby and receive hands-on instruction and training for each of the field experiences coming on day two – just as they would have done at Clear Creek in prior years. This day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

  • Day two will be held at Clear Creek. Students will load the bus at Valley View Elementary at 7:00 a.m. and return that evening at 7:30 p.m. That day is packed with the field experiences they will have prepared for on day one and will conclude with a picnic dinner in the forest. Each session will include 100 new friends from all around the district being supervised by 7 certified district personnel and 4 high school aged camp counselors. Lunch and dinner will be provided.
