Canvas Intro for 7th Graders
Canvas is a Learning Management System used by teachers and students in Alpine School District.
During the 2020-21 school year, many Alpine School District teachers and students will be using the Canvas Learning Management System, provided by USBE and UEN. Additionally, ASD parents and guardians will have the ability to monitor student learning using Canvas Observer accounts.
Observer accounts allow guardians to monitor their student’s courses, assignments, teacher feedback, due dates, and scores. Please note that while guardians and students can see assignments and assessment scores in Canvas, they should always check Skyward for official student grades.

Additionally, parents and guardians can download a free Canvas Observer app for iOS and Android devices called Canvas Parent

In the Alpine School District we believe that classroom technology use can lead to deeper learning and improved student outcomes.
In the event of online or blended learning, we’ve incorporated the use of several applications that help deliver classroom instruction and enrich student learning.
Durante el año escolar 2020-2021, muchos maestros y estudiantes del Distrito Escolar de Alpine utilizarán Canvas Learning Management System [sistema Canvas de manejo de aprendizaje], provisto por USBE y UEN. Además, los padres / tutores del Distrito Escolar de Alpine tendrán la capacidad de monitorear el aprendizaje de los estudiantes utilizando la cuenta de Canvas Observer.
Las cuentas de Observer permiten a los padres / tutores monitorear los cursos, tareas, comentarios de los maestros, fechas de entrega y calificaciones de sus alumnos.
