ATEC RECEIVES $3,160 DONATION

Excitement filled the halls of ATEC as students gathered for an assembly on Friday, January 27, 2012.  Students and teachers alike participated in the schools first ever “black out” and proudly wore their black ATEC Eagles school shirts.  The ATEC cheerleaders helped boost the excitement and kicked things off by leading the school in a couple of cheers.  The PALS group treated the students to an incredible performance.

The highlight of the assembly was a special visit from the dancers of Studio 1 Dance Center.  ATEC has been raising funds to purchase a marquee for the front of their school and Studio 1 Dance Center held a benefit concert with all of the proceeds being donated to ATEC for the marquee.  Studio 1 presented ATEC PTA President, Kristy Gunnell, with a check for $3,160!  This money is a great jumpstart to the school’s fund for a new marquee.  The halls were decorated with signs made by students to thank Studio 1 Dance center for their generosity.  One student exclaimed, “I’ve never seen a check for that much money!  That’s a lot of money and I’m so thankful that Studio 1 was willing to do that for our school.”
